2008 Results Wednesday, April 16th - Davenport Speedway (WDRL): Kevin qualified for the feature event, but DNFed with rear-end troubles. Kurt had a tough break right from the start with a very strong field of cars in his heat race, where he was unable to get enough passing points to qualify. Sunday, April 20th - West Liberty Raceway (Spring Championship): On a very rough track, Kurt managed to finish 3rd in his heat race and work his way up to 7th from the back in the feature. Kevin claimed the checkers in his heat and finished 3rd in the feature. Saturday, May 10th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished 5th in the feature with Kevin in 8th. Saturday, May 17th - West Liberty Raceway: Both cars DNFed. Saturday, May 24th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished 5th and Kevin DNFed. Saturday, May 31st - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished 7th and Kevin DNFed. Saturday, June 7th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished 6th with Kevin in 8th. Saturday, June 14th - Corning (MLRA): Working with a very tough field of cars, Kurt was unable to qualify in the heat event and worked his way from 9th into 5th in the consellation, however only the top two cars were allowed to run the feature. Kevin was able to qualify, starting in 9th in the feature and finishing 12th. Saturday, June 21st - West Liberty Raceway: Kevin finished 4th in the feature event with Kurt in 6th. Saturday, June 28th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt lead the first 15 laps until a caution came out. At that time, he was passed by the one car that could miraculously pass on the outside without any kind of struggle. Kurt finished 2nd with Kevin "holding his line" in 5th. (Due to a weight discrepancy on a certain car - that a number of other teams also protest - Kurt really should've gotten 1st with Kevin in 4th.) Saturday, July 5th - West Liberty Raceway (non-points event): Both boys experienced bad luck with Kurt scoring 10th and Kevin 15th. Wednesday, July 16th - Muscatine County Fair, West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished fourth after working his way clear from the back after a spin. Kevin finished in 5th in the feature. Saturday, July 26th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished 3rd with Kevin in 5th in the feature (really, 2nd and 4th). Saturday, August 2nd - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished 2nd with Kevin in 4th (really, 1st and 3rd respectively because there seems to be 20lbs missing from a certain car but none of the so-called officials seem to give a crap). Radios and glow sticks and missing weight - OH MY! Saturday, August 16th - West Liberty Crapway: A rough night for the boys - Kurt finished 9th with Kevin in 11th. Saturday, August 23rd - West Liberty Pay-Your-Way-To-A-Championship "Raceway": Kevin finished 9th with Kurt in 10th. Kurt was making friends with the wall as he rode the cushion and his right side shows it. 2007 Season Schedule and Results Saturday, January 13th - Wild West Shootout, Casa Grande-AZ: Kevin won his heat event, while Kurt finished 4th in his heat. After qualifying in the B-main, Kurt finished 16th in the feature (starting 22nd) with Kevin in 12th. Sunday, January 14th -Wild West Shootout, Casa Grande-AZ: The KMS team was not able to qualify for the feature event. Saturday, January 20th - Wild West Shootout, Casa Grande-AZ: Kevin ran well winning his heat and finishing 6th in the feature. More bad luck for Kurt in the #77 as the fast car was halted in the B-main due to a flat tire. Sunday, January 21st - Wild West Shootout, Casa Grande-AZ: Rained out. Friday, April 20th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kevin finished 2nd in the feature to the 2006 defending champion Jeff Guengrich. Saturday, April 21st - West Liberty Raceway (WDRL Series): Bad luck plagued the KMS race team as Kevin was unable to qualify for the main event and Kurt pulled in due to mechanical issues shortly after the start of the race. Saturday, April 28th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt won his heat even with Kevin finishing in 4th. In the feature, Kevin finished 6th with Kurt in 11th on a one-lane track. Wednesday, May 2nd - Independence Motor Speedway (Indee Open Series): Kevin finished 7th in the feature with Kurt suffered from the bad luck curse, spinning to avoid a collision and a car behind him making contact and taking them both out of the race. Friday, May 4th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kevin claimed his first feature win of the season. Saturday, May 5th - West Liberty Raceway: Kevin claimed the checkers in the qualifying heat event with Kurt in third, but the feature did not bring such a good outcome, with Kurt finishing 9th and Kevin suffering from trouble with the rear end and DNFing. Congratulations to the Kile Motorsports Stock Car feature winner, David Brandies#71! Friday, May 11th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kevin finished 2nd to Ron Boyse with Kurt finishing in 3rd. Saturday, May 12th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt scored 5th in the feature event, while Kevin experienced bad luck DNFing and pulling in for the night. Wednesday, May 16th - Southern Iowa Speedway, Oskaloosa (USRA): Kevin finished 12th on a rough track with Kurt in 13th. Friday, May 18th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kurt finished while gaining ground in 2nd and Kevin wound up finishing 4th. Tuesday, May 22nd - Fayette County Raceway, West Union (Indee Open): Kevin finished 5th with Kurt in 7th. Friday, May 25th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kurt finished 5th in the feature, while Kevin got caught up in some slime from a rain during the event, putting him on the levy and taking him out of the race. Friday, June 8th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kevin claimed the feature win with Kurt in 4th. Saturday, June 9th - West Liberty Raceway: The team struggles with the new chassis as Kurt finished 12th in the feature with Kevin in 13th. Friday, June 15th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kevin finished 3rd with Kurt in 5th. Saturday, June 16th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished 9th with Kevin in 11th. Wednesday, June 27th - Fayette County Speedway, West Union (Indee Open): Kevin finished 10th with Kurt in 13th. Friday, June 29th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kevin won the feature event with Kurt in 5th. Friday, July 7th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kurt finished 3rd with Kevin suffering from bad luck with a DNF. Friday, July 13th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kurt captured his first feature win of the season with Kevin again suffering from bad luck (on Friday the 13th). Friday, July 20th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kevin claimed the feature win with Kurt finishing in 4th. Tuesday, July 24th - Fayette County Speedway, West Union (Indee Open): Kurt finished 9th with Kevin in 16th. Friday, July 27th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kevin claimed yet another win (Kurt did not race this evening). Wednesday, August 1st - Independence Motor Speedway (Indee Open): Kevin finished 9th with Kurt in 15th. Friday, August 3rd - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Kurt finished 2nd in the feature while Kevin experienced some hard luck with a DNF. Saturday, August 11th - West Liberty Raceway: Kevin finished 6th in his new car, while Kurt experienced motor trouble causing a DNF. Friday, August 17th - CJ Raceway, Columbus Junction: Experiencing more bad luck, Kevin finished the feature in 4th, while Kurt finished in 6th.** NOT OFFICIAL Saturday, August 18th, West Liberty Raceway: Kurt finished 11th while Kevin finished 16th. Saturday, August 25th - West Liberty Raceway: Kurt won his heat in his new car and finished 11th in the feature. Kevin experienced (someone else's) bad luck by being put in the wall and DNFing for the night. Tuesday, August 28th - Independence Motor Speedway (Indee Open Series Finale): In an entertaining turn of events, Kevin finished 4th with Kurt in 8th. Saturday, September 1st - West Liberty Raceway (Season Championship): Kevin worked his way up to 4th in the feature, while Kurt experienced trouble and DNFed for the night. Wednesday, September 12th - Farley Speedway, Mock-Indee Event: Kurt finished 4th in the feature, while Kevin experienced trouble and DNFed. Saturday, September 22nd - West Liberty 100: Kurt suffered from bad luck and bad timing after wroking his way up to 6th (after coming into the pits for a tune-up mid-race) and fell out with a flat tire with 2 laps left to go. Friday, October 5th - Davenport Speedway: Kurt won his consi and went onto finish 13th in the feature event.
